Our Lewisham, Our Say : Thursday, 19th August, 2010 (3.30 - 5.30 pm)

Honor Oak Community Centre, 50, Turnham Road, Brockley, London, SE4 2JD

I would like to invite you to join me and other key stakeholders in open dialogue about how we face up to the forthcoming changes. The public spending cuts mean that Lewisham Council may have to reduce its spending by up to £60 million over the next three years. Over the last three years we have saved around £26 million by cuttings waste and becoming more and more efficient.  We will continue to do that, but the sums we will need to save over the next three years mean we will need to fundamentally change the way we deliver our public services. The Council is having a wide dialogue with key stakeholders through "Our Lewisham, Our Say" and will be asking stakeholders which Council services they value most, what they think the Council could do less of, and where they think they could do more themselves to ease the pressure on public services.  As part of this we would like to consult with you in relation to specific crime reduction services over the summer.  I would be grateful if you could confirm your attendance by either calling tel. 020 8314 8561 or emailing Diana.moore@lewisham.gov.uk.
